The best way to analyze this picture is from the story of Joseph. We all know the story of Joseph who was sold to slavery by his brothers to a strange land (Egypt) and was brought to Portiphar’s house as a slave boy but because of God’s favor upon him, he was made the head of everything in the house (he was pretty much the 2nd in command in that house after Portiphar; who was an influential man in Egypt).
Joseph was a man who had dreams that his family would bow to him so I stand corrected but I believe he was getting comfortable in the wrong place because bringing him into today’s society, he was already a BIG BOY (influential by association)
Trust God who knows it all to bring a circumstance to push Joseph out of his place of comfort to the place where he needed to grow (prison) and hence enter into his place of rest. So yeah, Portiphar’s wife’s act of seduction to Joseph was allowed by God to happen to Joseph to answer some questions:
1. Does he still know the principles of being a child of God?
2. Does he know know there’s a difference between a place of COMFORT and a place of REST
Joseph passed his tests and guess what, a stranger was made the 2nd most influential man in Egypt.
In Conclusion: No matter where you find yourself, always adhere to God’s principles, shaking’s will come DEFINITELY but knowing God, he has NEVER let his children down..NEVER!!! Have a blessed week and know that whatever you are going through is temporary, if God had asked Joseph to leave the comfort he was enjoying in Portiphar’s house, he probably would have refused but God needed to bring a circumstance to take him to his Promised Place.
